JUST IN: Popular Nollywood Actor, Chief Kenran Is Dead
Veteran Nollywood star Olusegun Akinremi, popularly known as Chief Kanran, has passed away at the age of 70.
The sad news was announced on Friday by film producer Seun Oloketuyi, who revealed via Instagram that the beloved actor died earlier in the day.
“Popular actor Segun Remi popularly known as Chief Kanran died Friday morning,” he wrote.
Renowned in the Yoruba movie industry, Chief Kanran was admired for his distinctive acting style, captivating charm, witty humour, and memorable performances that earned him a lasting place in the hearts of audiences both on stage and on screen.
