U.S Mission Commends Nigeria’s Arrest Of Terrorist Leaders
The U.S. Mission in Nigeria has commended the Nigerian government for its efforts in dismantling newly formed terrorist cells in the country.
Earlier, the government announced the arrest of the leaders of the Ansaru and Mahmuda terrorist groups, Mahmud Muhammad Usman and Mahmud Al-Nageri.
In a statement shared on its official X handle on Monday, the U.S. Mission described the operation as a significant step forward in Nigeria’s fight against terrorism.
The post reads, “We commend the Nigerian Government and security forces on the successful arrest of wanted #Ansaru leaders, Mahmud Muhammad Usman (aka Abu Bara’a) and Mahmud al-Nigeri (aka Mallam Mamuda).”
“This is a significant forward in Nigeria’s fight against terrorism and extremism.”
