Federal Government has taken a key decision on #LekkiMassacre.
As earlier reported by OnyxNews Nigeria, soldiers of the Nigerian Army shot the peaceful #EndSARS protesters camping at Lekki toll gate in Lagos.
The attack on the #EndSARS protesters, left many dead and others injured according to videos published on Twitter by eyewitnesses. After the attack by the soldiers, the photos of some of the Nigerians killed by soldiers at the Lekki toll gate surfaced.
This online news platform understands that few hours after the attack, the Federal Government through the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo vowed to get justice for all of the victims.
The Vice President said his heart goes out to victims of the Lekki shooting and other men and women who lost their lives during the #EndSARS protests in Lagos and other states in what is the first reaction from the presidency in over 24 hours after the shooting of peaceful protesters.
Osinbajo vowed in a different tweets via micro-blogging site, Twitter late Wednesday night, that the FG would get justice for all of the protesters that were killed.
Vice President Osinbajo, on behalf of the Federal Government, prayed that the nation would never see a repeat of these unfortunate incidents.
He tweeted: “My heart goes out to all the victims of the Lekki shootings, and also the policemen and all other men and women who lost their lives in the past few days in different parts of Lagos & other states.
“I spoke to some of those in hospital. The pain of these terrible events is palpable in our towns and cities, and some losses are irreplaceable, but we can and will get justice for all of them.
I stand with Lagos & all other affected states in these trying times.
“We pray we will never see a repeat of these tragedies in Jesus name. God bless you all,” Vice President Osinbajo said.
