Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has gotten another big international award.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the former Nigerian Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala has hit another milestone in her career as she won another award in United States of America.
Announcing the feat, the World Trade Organisation’s candidate and projected winner made the announcement via micro-blogging site, Twitter on Wednesday to accept the honor of being awarded the winner of 2020 International Service Award organized by World Affairs Council of America.
Okonjo-Iweala tweeted: “Honored to win the 2020 International Service Award of the World Affairs Councils of America. Thank You @WACAmerica for bringing the world to America through dialogue,debate&action! COVID-19 shows us how interconnected the world is & how important it is to be each other’s keeper.”

US Breaks Silence On Why Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Was Rejected As DG WTO
The World Affairs Councils of America is the largest nonprofit grassroots organization in the US dedicated to educating and engaging the public on global issues.
Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is currently the board of directors of GAVI, The Vaccine Alliance, also doubled as board of directors of Twitter, a two-time finance minister and former Managing Director of operations at World Bank.
She won the position of the DG WTO, but was rejected by the United States of America’s authority, but she has the support of African Union and European Union and that makes her stand a better chance than her contender, a South Korean, Yoo Myung-Hee.
