Panic as massive explosion hit Kwara State at the early hour on Wednesday, 23 December 2020.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that truck laden with premium motor spirit (PMS) reportedly exploded and killed more than six persons earlier on Wednesday in Jebba, Moro local government area of Kwara state.
The petrol tanker said to be travelling through the ancient town had lost control and spilled its contents as it rammed into residential buildings.

According to an eyewitness, the incident resulted in massive explosions that also burnt down over 30 houses and shops.
When contacted, spokesperson of the state Fire Service Hassan Adekunle, confirmed the incident, promising to update our correspondent in the next one hour.

Meanwhile, Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commiserated with the families of those who lost their lives and properties, describing the incident as “devastating and sad.”
