BREAKING: Hakimi Is Dead
Bandits have assassinated the district head of Sarkin Kudu town in Ibbi Local Government Area of Taraba State, Ali Hakimi.
Ali Hakimi was attacked within his palace in Sarkin Kudu town around 12:30 am on Friday.
According to a local source, approximately 10 bandits forcibly entered the district head’s palace and fatally shot him.
Another source who identified himself as Bello Adamu informed our reporter that the deceased was the sibling of the chief of Sarkin Kudu chiefdom.
He added that the bandits had recently carried out numerous assaults throughout the chiefdom, resulting in the abduction of numerous individuals.
“The attackers escaped into the bush after killing the district head, and every one in the area is leaving in fear because nobody knows the next target of the bandits,” the source said.
The police spokesperson in the state, SP Usman Abdullahi, was unreachable for comment on the incident, as his phone was turned off when our reporter attempted to contact him.
