FG Appoints New CEOs For Agencies Of Culture Ministry [FULL LIST]
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that popular actor Ali Nuhu, entertainment entrepreneur Obi Asika, and nine others will serve as chief executive officers for agencies within the Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy.
Ajuri Ngelale, a presidential spokesperson, revealed this in a statement on Friday.
The list of appointees includes:
Tola Akerele, who will serve as Director-General of the National Theatre;
Dr. Shaibu Husseini, appointed as Director-General of the National Films and Censors Board;
Mr. Obi Asika, who will lead as Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture;
Aisha Adamu Augie, appointed as Director-General of the Centre for Black and African Arts and Culture;
Ekpolador-Ebi Koinyan, who will hold the position of Chief Conservator at the National War Museum;
Ahmed Sodangi, selected for the role of Director-General of the National Gallery of Art;
Chaliya Shagaya, who will lead as Director-General of the National Institute of Archeology and Museums Studies;
Hajiya Khaltume Bulama Gana, appointed as the Artistic Director of the National Troupe of Nigeria;
Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, who will serve as Director-General of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation;
Ali Nuhu, named as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation; and
Ramatu Abonbo Mohammed, appointed as the Director-General of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments.
The president has urged the appointees to carry out their responsibilities with the utmost professionalism, diligence, and patriotism in order to enhance the vibrancy and strength of the creative sector.
