BREAKING: Kogi Assembly Demand Immediate Removal Of Yahaya Bello’s Name From ‘Wanted List’ By EFCC
The Kogi State Assembly is currently calling for the exclusion of former Governor Yahaya Bello’s name from the EFCC’s wanted list.
This appeal was made during a plenary session where resolutions were agreed upon by the House members.
The issue was brought up by Jibrin Abu, a House member representing Ajaokuta State Constituency, who deemed it necessary for public discussion.
In a formal plea titled ‘A plea to cease the baseless, frivolous, and untrue smear campaign against former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello’, Abu highlighted his concerns that the EFCC has been unfairly targeting Bello.
The Assembly’s request reflects their stance on the matter and their call for a reconsideration of Bello’s inclusion in the wanted list by the anti-corruption agency.
“Kogi State, by allocation standard, is not rich so much so that N80.4b will be missing that the State will not be shaken to its foundation. This claim by the EFCC should be sanctioned and taken as laughable. Innocent Nigerians and Kogi State citizens that bought into the lies should by their personal volition withdraw their support,”
