BREAKING: Edo Governor-Elect, Okpebholo, Receives Certificate From INEC
The newly elected Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and his deputy, Hon. Denis Idahosa, have officially received their certificates of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on September 26, 2024.
This formal presentation was conducted by Mrs. Rhoda Gomos, representing the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.
The ceremony took place in acknowledgment of their success in the recent Edo State governorship election.
Accompanied by prominent figures such as Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bashiru Ajibola, and Engr.
Abubakar Momoh, the Minister for Niger Delta Affairs, as well as Senator Adams Oshiomhole and the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Phillip Shuaibu, the governor-elect and his deputy celebrated their victory.
Senator Okpebholo secured victory in eleven out of the 18 local government areas (LGAs) in the state during the election held on September 21st, with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) closely following, having won 7 LGAs out of the 18.
