Tinubu Administration Invests Over N2.2 Trillion in Infrastructure, Completes 260 Road Projects – Minister Umahi
The Nigerian government under President Bola Tinubu has allocated more than N2.2 trillion towards critical infrastructure development nationwide, with 260 palliative road projects already completed, the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, revealed on Friday.
Speaking at a ministerial press briefing, Umahi praised President Tinubu’s commitment to infrastructure, describing him as the “Roadmaster” and a “Man of Uncommon Courage.” He stated that these projects are part of a broader national effort to enhance connectivity and economic growth.
“In just two years, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has completed 260 palliative road projects nationwide, costing N208 billion,” Umahi said. He further highlighted that 29 major infrastructure projects valued at over N2 trillion are underway, reflecting the government’s dedication to revitalizing Nigeria’s infrastructure landscape.
Currently, 440 road infrastructure projects are ongoing across the country, all approved under President Tinubu’s directive. Umahi emphasized the transformative impact of these initiatives, noting that they are crucial for linking communities and boosting economic activities.
Additionally, four significant “Legacy Projects” are in progress, with the President expected to commission some of these landmark developments as part of his second anniversary celebrations in May 2025.
Sunday Dare, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, confirmed these updates on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, underscoring the administration’s transparency and progress.
This massive investment and project execution underscore the Tinubu administration’s focus on infrastructure as a pillar for national development.
