Breaking: New NIJ Deputy Provost emerges, Kalesanwo made the new Acting Registrar

The new Deputy Provost of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), has emerged in the place of Dr Dele Omojuyigbe.
The monotechnic which is located at Ijaye Road in Ogba, Lagos State has replaced Jide Johnson who held the position of the institute’s Deputy Provost from 2015 till date to Dr Omojuyigbe, an alumnus of the former University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).
Onyxnewsng understands that Omojuyigbe was the Head of Department, General Studies of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism until his appointment as the new Deputy Provost of the monotechnic.
Like Omojuyigbe, Mrs Patricia Kalesanwo is now the Acting Registrar of the institute, replacing Dotun Adeniji, who held the position for more than a decade.
Kalesanwo was the Students’ Affairs Officer of the institute before her appointment.
A statement which was issued by the institute and read in part said:
“The Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism has approved appointment of Dr Dele Omojuyigbe as the Deputy Provost of the institution.
“The council also approved the appointment of Mrs Patricia Kalesanwo as the Acting Registrar of the institution.
“The decision was taken at a meeting held today, Friday, the 28th of February 2020. The appointment takes immediate effect.”
