See lawmaker who is ‘flying 300 guests to Dubai’ for mother’s 90th birthday

Nigeria’s House of Representatives’ Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, is set to stage a large birthday party for his mother, Alhaja Lateefat Olufunke Gbajabiamila, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, starting from today, 2nd day of March.
Onyxnewsng gathered that the elaborate celebration for the woman’s 90th birthday will run until March 10 in the beautiful city of UAE.
Some of Nigeria’s top ranking and prominent personalities like politicians are expected to grace the occasion.
The online news platform understands that rooms in Conrad Hilton Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai have been reserved.
Calculating $122 (N43,920) per night for a person, the cost for hotel accommodation alone per night will cost $36,600 (N13,176,000) for 300 guests in that hotel, apart from flight to the city which when put together for the number of guests, the total expenditure for airfare sum up to N68,796,000.
According to SaharaReporters, some guests have been booked for special and luxurious accommodation and that top personalities not booked into private jets have already been booked for special seats on commercial airlines flying to Dubai.
Onyxnewsng learnt that Senator Gbajabiamila could be spending over N500m to ensure his mother gets a befitting 90th birthday celebration going by the kind of guests that would be attending the occasion.
Onyxnewsng reports that Gbajabiamila’s mother who has played a significant role in her son’s journey into politics, is ready to be celebrated in a big way by her son especially as she reaches the milestone age of 90.
