BREAKING: President Buhari to address Nigerians on Monday
As the first phase of the gradual easing of the lockdown comes to an end, President Buhari is set to address Nigerians.
Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday 18 May, 2020 address the nation in a broadcast to lift, ease or continue with the lockdown.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that this was made public by Aliyu Sani, national coordinator of the presidential task force on COVID-19 when he appeared as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
President Buhari will in the broadcast announce to Nigerians whether or not the country would go ahead with the second phase of the easing of the lockdown.
Meanwhile, Nigeria has recorded high number of new cases of ravaging COVID-19 pandemic in the country, as total number of cases jumped up again.
This reliable online news platform also reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement that 338 fresh cases of the deadly pandemic has been recorded in Nigeria, making the total number of cases of the virus 5959 in the country.
Onyxnews Nigeria understands that the NCDC made the announcement via the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Sunday night, May 17.
