It is getting to two months now since Susan Idoko Okpe, the Benue state COVID-19 index case has been in isolation for allegedly testing positive for COVID-19.

Susan has insisted right from the beginning that she does not have the disease even as she was moved from the isolation centre in Benue to Abuja branch.

Her children cannot take it any longer seeing their mother being forced in NCDC isolation centre for more than 14 days.

Mrs Idoko’s children have demanded that the Federal Government and the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), should release their mum as she has now stayed for 57 days in isolation with no symptoms or treatment.

Days ago, Idoko disclosed that she has been in isolation for weeks now without showing any symptoms of the disease and since she has insisted that she does not have the pandemic disease, she has refused every medication given to her.

On Wednesday, Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire said Mrs. Idoko had refused to let the NCDC and other medical personnel take her samples so they can do a final test on her before she is discharged, a claim she has dismissed, saying she already had 5 tests with no result given to her.
