Rivers records second highest as Nigeria confirms new cases of coronavirus
Rivers state records second highest as new coronavirus cases are being recorded in Nigeria.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday night, released the 661 new cases and total number of the raging disease was also confirmed in Nigeria, the West African country.
The total number of cases of COVID-19 as of Saturday 20 June 2020 in the country is 19,808, with 6,718 persons discharged.
So far, 506 death cases have been confirmed by NCDC.
The breakdown of numbers recorded by states were also giving by the agency via the micro blogging site, Twitter.
The Agency tweeted: “661 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-230 Rivers-127 Delta-83 FCT-60 Oyo-51 Edo-31 Bayelsa-27 Kaduna-25 Plateau-13 Ondo-6 Nasarawa-3 Ekiti-2 Kano-2 Borno-1 19,808 confirmed 6,718 discharged 506 deaths.”
