Buhari suspends Managing Director of NSITF, Somefun, four others (Full list)
President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Adebayo Somefun.
The president approved Somefun’s suspension indefinitely.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that Buhari also approved the suspension of four directors of the agency.
This reliable online news platform understands that their suspension was made public in a statement issued by the Deputy Director, Press and Public Relations, Charles Akpan, on Thursday in Abuja.
The suspended directors include: the Executive Director, Finance and Investment, Mr. Jasper Ikedi Azuatalam, Executive Director, Operations, Mrs. Olukemi Nelson and Executive Director, Administration, Alhaji Tijani Darazo Sulaiman.
On the other hand, president Buhari nominated two (2) journalists and 40 others for ambassadorial appointments.
Onyxnews Nigeria reported that Buhari’s letter of request was sent on Wednesday July 1 2020 and read by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan on the floor at plenary.
The nominees include: two senior journalists, outgoing Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian, Debo Adesina; and former Editor of THISDAY on Sunday, Oma Djebah, who was also a one-time Commissioner for Information in Delta State.
