Drama as Oyo state governor, Deputy, others stopped from entering late Ajimobi’s Fidau prayer venue
Delegations of Oyo state government were stopped from entering Oluyole residence of late former governor Abiola Ajimobi.
The delegations were led by Governor Seyi Makinde’s deputy governor, Engr. Raufu Olaniyan, Alhaja Amidat Agboola, head of service; Barristers Abiodun Abdul-Raheem, commissioners.
They were stopped from entering late Ajimobi’s residence which was the venue of the 8th day Fidau prayer for the deceased.
According to reports reaching Onyxnews Nigeria, the security details attached to the venue were said to have resisted all their efforts to enter the venue, as they almost engaged in open confrontation with security details attached to Olaniyan.
Meanwhile, efforts to contact late Ajimobi’s spokesperson, Bolaji Tunji, to react proved abortive as his number was not connecting as at the time of publication.
Recall that accusations and counter-accusations had trailed the handling of the burial of the former governor.
Daddy Freeze reacted on the social distancing guidelines that were not observed at Abiola Ajimobi’s funeral in Oluyole area of Ibadan, Oyo state. And wondered why Funke Akindele and Naira Marley were sanctioned for breaking social distancing guidelines, whereas the crowd at Ajimobi’s funeral were allowed to get away with doing same.
He took to Instagram to share a viral video showing guests shoving themselves as they struggled for food at the late ex-governor’s Fidau prayer.
Freeze asked if Nigeria is becoming a “reincarnation” of George Orwell’s Animal Farm where some people are more equal than others.
