Edo Deputy Speaker has been impeached.

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Yekini Idiaye, was impeached on Wednesday during a plenary session of the Assembly in Benin City, the capital of Edo State.

The impeachment of the Edo Deputy Speaker is after he declared his support for Pastor Ize Iyamu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party.

This impeachment is also coming a month and few days to the Edo 2020 election which is planned to take place on September 19.
