Meet Governors nominated for 2020 ‘Governor of the year’
Governors of Lagos, Oyo, Rivers, Ebonyi and Borno states have been nominated for award as 2020 ‘governor of the year’.
Governors Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state, Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos state and Seyi Makinde of Oyo state and have all been nominated for award as 2020 ‘governor of the Year’.
The governors were nominated by well known Nigerians at the ongoing nominations for the 2020 edition of Igbere TV Leadership Excellence Awards.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Executive director of Igbere TV, Emeh James Anyalekwa, made this disclosure in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday, 24th August 2020 in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State.
The Awards recognises and honours the outstanding impacts of leaders across the private and public sectors in Nigeria.
The Award also applauds achievements, excellence, performance, humanitarian activities and philanthropic gesticulation.
The 2019 edition which was held on 28th November, 2019 at the Sheraton Hotels, Abuja saw several captains of industry, prominent personalities and leaders to the various categories of the awards.
But no date has been announced for the 2020 edition, the organizers said the event would be held in compliance with the NCDC and World Health Organization guidelines and protocols on COVID-19.
Nominations for the Awards are still ongoing and would close August 30.

# Most Outstanding Legal Practitioner of the Year
# Most Outstanding Health Worker of the Year
Among others.
