BREAKING: Resident doctors suspend nationwide strike

The National Association of Resident doctors (NARD) has suspended the nationwide strike.
NARD members embarked upon to seek for the implementation of the agreement it reached with the federal government.
The suspension of the strike is coming few minutes the minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige threatened that the federal government will invoke ‘no work no pay’ policy of the doctors failed to call off the strike today.
OnyxNews Nigeria recalls that Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has announced that it would embark on an indefinite strike.
This online news platform understands that the strike will started on Monday, 7th September 2020.
Meanwhile, the suspension of strike comes at a time the Federal government had directed for immediate replacement of striking Doctors with National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members.
This is to maintain routine services in place of striking resident doctors across the nation.
However, the strike has been suspended.
