#EndSARS: FG gradually bowing to pressure, begs youth, see next step
Federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari is gradually bowing to pressure, begged the Nigerian youths.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, have appealed to youths to stop the ongoing protests against the disbandment of Special Anti-Robbery Unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
Gbajabiamila said the government was working very hard to meet all the demands of the youths.
This is coming few hours after President Muhammadu Buhari met with the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Assembly, over the ongoing anti-SARS protests.
The meeting which was held on Sunday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, was disclosed by Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad via micro-blogging site, Twitter.
Ahmad tweeted: “President @MBuhari currently meeting with Senate President, @DrAhmadLawan and Speaker, @femigbaja on the ongoing #EndPoliceBrutality protests.”
Over the past week, Nigerians, especially the youths, have been protesting against the SARS unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
The protests also touch on other deviations under Buhari’s government.
