Lagos Police Shuts Down Cubana Over COVID-19 Rules, ‘Arrests Clubbers’ (Video)

Cubana night club has been shut down by the Lagos Police for defying COVID-19 directive.
The Lagos State Commission for safety just sealed off Cubana Ikeja and other facilities for non compliance to the state COVID-19 protocol, OnyxNews Nigeria reports.
This online news platform reports that the development was disclosed in a statement issued on the micro-blogging site, Twitter by Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor of Lagos Statement, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
“Just in: @followlasg @lagossafety and @PoliceNG Lagos State Command sealed off Cubana night club for disobeying the State’s #COVID19 protocols,” the statement read.
Though it is unclear if the clubbers at Cubana night club were arrested, however, some videos published on the micro-blogging site, Twitter by netizens, show police officers of the Lagos Police Command refusing to allow clubbers willingly leave the night club premises.

But, the arrest is coming barely a day after Governor Sanwo-Olu re-imposed COVID-19 restrictions in Lagos State, where he noted that concerts, carnivals and street parties are banned in Lagos State indefinitely, just as night clubs have not been allowed to open yet, noting that “all night clubs in Lagos must immediately shut down, until further notice.”
