BREAKING: APC Sacks Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi

A faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State loyal to Igo Aguma has sacked the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi for anti-party activities.
The APC faction in a statement signed by the media adviser to Aguma, Livingstone Wechie said Amaechi’s sack from the party by the state executives followed his earlier suspension at the ward level.
The statement noted that the State Executive Caretaker Committee confirmed the decision of the State Disciplinary Committee of the party which looked into Amaechi’s suspension by Ward 8, Ikwerre Local Government Area where he hails from.
Prior to this development, the Amaechi faction had also over the weekend, sacked Senator Magnus Abe, Igo Aguma, Livingstone Wechie, Wogu Boms, and all caretaker committee leaders inaugurated by Aguma.
This development has further thrown the APC in Rivers State into more crisis ahead of the local government elections in the state as well as the 2023 general eletions.
The statement by the Aguma faction also noted that the expulsion of Chief Victor Giadom and the suspension of Senator Chief Andrew Uchendu from the party has been referred to the disciplinary committee for further action.
