One person has reportedly been killed, many cars burnt as tanker explodes in Ogun state. Below is the video of the incident.

OnyxNews Nigeria reports that a fuel tanker has exploded in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, southwest Nigeria, burning several vehicles.

This online news platform understands that the fuel tanker which has reportedly killed one person exploded earlier on Tuesday, January 19, on the Presidential Boulevard Road around Guaranty Trust Bank opposite Lawson Group School, Kuto, Abeokuta in Ogun State, southwest Nigeria.

OnyxNews Nigeria gathered that the fuel tanker was allegedly carrying 33,000 litres of petrol.

According to eyewitnesses, the fuel tanker lost control while descending from an overhead bridge. It hit a motorcycle in motion and rammed into some commercial vehicles waiting for passengers at the end of the bridge.

On the other hand, officials of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps were seen at the scene controlling the traffic as at the time of filing this report.
