Government Issued Update To Teaching Job Applicants In Osun.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the Osun state government has disclosed that about 31,000 applicants applied for the ongoing teachers recruitment in the state stating that selection will be based on merit.
This was made revealed in a statement issued by the Media Officer, Osun State Ministry of Education, Roseline Olawuni.
The statement noted that the Commissioner for Education, Folorunsho Oladoyin that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has insisted that only the candidates who made it through the selection process will be considered for the job in state public schools.

While expressing his satifaction with the process so far, the commissioner commended the level of decency and discipline he had witnessed of all the centers he visited.
He then assured candidates, parents and guardian that only the best will be appointed as teachers to teach their children.
Oladoyin noted that the state government has given Joint Admission and Matriculation Board the free hand and total independence to carry out the exercise without interference from anyone.
He said: “I still want to reemphasize that only the best is good for our students, and so we are not going to compromise on quality. This appointment will be done purely on merit, because it is about the future of our state. 31,000 applied through purchase of forms for the appointments while about 29,000 printed their examination slips to partake in the examination.”

He therefore used the occassion to reiterate the commitment of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola Administration to improving the Education Sector in the state and also to make the students he desribed as better persons.
