President Buhari Issues Fresh Tasks To Father Mbaka, Oyedepo, Adeboye, Others

President Buhari has given fresh tasks to Father Mbaka, Oyedepo, Adeboye among others in the fight against crimes and terrorism.
Onyxnews reports that Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has asked religious leaders of all faiths like Father Ejike Mbaka, David Oyedepo amongst others to unite and support the fight against terrorism.
Buhari made the call in a statement titled ‘President Buhari urges spiritual leaders to mobilise people of all faiths to fight crimes.’
According to his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President made this call while speaking on the telephone with the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar lll.
Buhari called on religious leaders to help fight against kidnapping, banditry, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the statement, the Sultan was said to have called to celebrate with the President on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the observance of the Eid-el-Fitr.
The statement read in part, “The President called for continuous dialogue between the leaders of the two major faiths for peace and stability to reign in the country.

“President Buhari commended the Sultan for his effective leadership of the Muslim Ummah and credited him with the unity of the community sustained under his watch.”
It is also said in the statement that the Sultan reaffirmed his commitment to the continued existence of one Nigeria.
He said the Sultanate would continue to play its part in the ongoing effort to fight Nigeria’s problem.
