Onyxnews Nigeria reports that at least forty-four Nigerians will be deported for various offences, including illegally staying in Ghana.
The deportees were reportedly sentenced to 99 days imprisonment and will be deported after serving their sentence. Those in prison are 43 males and one female.
According to sources to Joy News, a News outlet in Ghana, it stated that a team of escort officers, comprising Immigration officers, would lead the deportees from Tamale to Accra to receive their deportation letters before escorting them out of the country.
It comes after the Service discovered a high rate of illegal entries prompting them to act.
