El-Rufai Finally Reveals Two Reasons He Was Happy Over Nnamdi Kanu’s Arrest
Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has finally reacted to the arrest of the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
Recall that the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, announced that Nnamdi Kanu was arrested in a foreign country by joint efforts of Nigerian security bodies and Interpol.
Abubakar Malami also announced the continuation of Nnamdi Kanu’s trial.

In an interview with BBC Pidgin, Nasir El-Rufai when reacting to the arrest of the leader of IPOB, he said he was happy while he stating two reasons.
Firstly, he spoke about the fact that Kanu jumped bail and put his surety in danger. He said Senator Abaribe could have been jeopardized because he was Nnamdi Kanu’s Surety. El-Rufai further said that jumping bail is a crime, and no legal system should support that.

Giving the second reason, Nasir El-Rufai stated about how Nnamdi Kanu challenged the sovereignty of the country. He accused Nnamdi Kanu of inciting violence by directing people to burn down police stations, attack prisons, and release prisoners. He said Kanu calls Nigeria a Zoo and has insulted every government official. El-Rufai frowned at Nnamdi Kanu’s decision to encourage destruction and battle while he sits in a foreign country.
Governor El-Rufai went further to say Kanu has violated many Nigerian laws and will be in court.
The Kaduna State governor also congratulated the Federal Government for the successful arrest of the Nnamdi Kanu. He also said the arrest should be a message to other separatists challenging the authority of Nigeria.
