Popular Nigerian politician has been impeached.

Onyxnewsng reports that members of the Imo State House of Assembly have impeached the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu, during the plenary on Tuesday.

After the resolution was submitted by the member representing Orlu state constituency, Hon. Ekene Nnodim, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Paul Emezim, approved the removal of his deputy.

Iwuanyanwu was impeached under tight security, after a resolution for her removal was signed by 18 out of the 27 lawmakers, Onyxnewsng gathered.
