Osun 2022: Davido Blasts Cousin For Contesting Against Uncle Senator Adeleke
Popular Nigerian singer, Davido has slammed his cousin ‘Dele Adeleke, for declaring intentions to contest against his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.
In December, Dele Adeleke, nephew to Senator Adeleke, another aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) joined the Osun 2022 gubernatorial race.
Dele who is a financial expert was the Returning Officer at the 2018 gubernatorial election in Osun where he was responsible for marshalling points to defend his uncle at both the INEC and Tribunal to the Supreme Courts where the judgment favoured the eventual winner, incumbent Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
His intention to run against his Uncle ‘Senator Adeleke’ has been condemned by Davido on his Twitter page.
The singer has warned Osun residents to be careful of ‘Fakes’, claiming that his cousin has not succeeded in building one single thing in life on his own.
“Wonderful! I finished university with a 2:1. But it’s now cousin Dele who struggled to even get a 2:2 that is now forming “intellectual”.
“Intellectual that has not succeeded in building one single thing in his life on his own. This life ehn! Osun Beware of FAKES!
“It’s the one close to you, we love you,” Davido wrote on Twitter.
In his response, Ademola Adeleke said, “God got us cousin, “Don’t worry nephew God got us.”
