See Names Of 398 Passengers On board Bombed Abuja-Kaduna Train (Full List)
Names of 398 passengers, who boarded the ill-fated Abuja-Kaduna train on Monday night, have emerged.
Onyxnewsng had reported that, some gunmen suspected to be terrorists bombed the Abuja-Kaduna train between Katari and Rigina axis, leaving hundreds of passengers dead in the attack on Monday.
A former Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Malam Ibrahim Wakkala and Muhammad Amin Mahmood, an aspirant in the just-concluded National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been among the victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train passengers who was shot by terrorists on Monday evening after the train was bombed and derailed by the gunmen.
Others were shot dead and an unascertained number of the passengers also sustained various degrees of injury as a result of gunshots.
Though, the Kaduna State government on Tuesday disclosed that eight bodies have been recovered, while 26 others were injured in the Kaduna train attack.
The Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said several others are unaccounted for, as search operations continue.
He said “The documents received showed 398 passengers bought tickets for the trip, but 362 were validated as having boarded the train through the recognized turnstile.
“The passenger manifest does not include NRC staff and security officials who were on board”.
Kwankwaso Again Dumps PDP, Gives Reason
Also, the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, disclosed that no fewer than eight persons were killed during the terrorists’ attack.
He spoke on Tuesday while inspecting the site of the incident.
Amaechi said 25 people have been hospitalized due to the attack.
The names of 398 passengers, who were on board the bombed train, have now surfaced.
Meanwhile, the Minister disclosed that some of the passengers were still missing.
