BREAKING: Peter Obi Dumps PDP, Submits Letter Of Resignation – See Major Reason
Onyxnewsng reports that Peter Obi, a frontline contestant in the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential primaries, has resigned from the party.
The desire of Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, and his chances of securing the main opposition’s presidential ticket has drew widespread media attention.
Many believe Peter Obi, who is unwilling to give large sums of money to lure PDP delegates to his side, will be marginalized and outmuscled by others who are willing to give dollars.
Speculations circulated that the former banker had finalized preparations to leave the PDP for an unnamed political party.
Peter Obi, through his campaign director, Doyin Okupe, submitted his resignation letter to the PDP National Secretariat on Wednesday.
According to the source, Obi resigned because he was afraid of being humiliated at the convention in Abuja.
He apparently told the Peoples Gazette that he was being pursued by a gang.
Attempts to contact Peter Obi were futile because the former governor did not answer his phone.
Emeka Obasi, Peter Obi’s media aide, characterized the news as “speculations.”
He predicted that as the PDP primaries approach, a slew of rumors will surface.

Obasi indicated that he and his team are still working hard to prepare for the opposition party’s presidential primary.
When asked if Peter Obi intends to leave the PDP if he loses the election, Obasi replied his principle is always planning.
He did, however, say that Peter Obi holds such plans close to his chest and will divulge them to the media when the time comes.
