BREAKING: Son Of Senator David Mark Is Dead
Jonathan Tunde Mark, the first son of former President of the Nigerian Senate, David Mark is dead.
Onyxnews Nigeria quotes a report by IDOMA VOICE, a reliable website for Benue State news, reports that Tunde David Mark died in the United Kingdom (UK) after a protracted battle with unknown ailment.
Another report said the 51-year-old David Mark first son died of cancer. Tunde David Mark corpse is expected to be flown back to the country in the coming days for burial, the report added.
Sympathisers have storm the GRA Otukpo residence of the Okpokpowulu K’Idoma to condole the family over the bad incident.
Born on the 13th of October 1971 in Otukpo, Benue State, northcentral Nigeria, Tunde attended Yaba Military School which is located in Yaba, Lagos where he obtained his first school leaving certificate. Later he proceeded to Fernden Prep School, Haslemere, Surrey, the UK where he attended Secondary school.
The late Tunde was a Biochemist who obtained a B.Sc degree from Kings College, London. He studied immunology alongside biochemistry and later Biological Sciences at the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, Harvard, and Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was married with children.

David Mark is a former military governor of Niger State appointed in 1984 by then Head of State and current Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari.
After the administration of Buhari was toppled in a palace coup, Mark was then appointed Minister of Communication by General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
He was forced to flee the country in 1993 by the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha.
Mark, however, returned to the country in 1998 and contested the senate seat for Benue South Senatorial District in 1999 which he won. He was reelected in 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2015 and retired in 2019.
David Mark was elected senate president in 2007 and 2011 and to this day remains, Nigeria’s longest senate president. His daughter, Blessing Onuh is the current member representing the Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives.
