Removing Jersey, Exposing Your Body Doesn’t Make Sense – Mixed Reactions As Netizen Calls Out Female Footballer Asisat Oshoala
Asisat Oshoala, the talented Nigerian female footballer drew both praise and criticism on Thursday, 27th July, after her impressive goal secured victory against co-hosts, Australia.
While many Nigerians celebrated her as the best African female player, her actions on the field sparked a debate on social media.
After scoring the decisive goal, Oshoala removed her jersey in celebration, a move that caught the attention of the Twitter community.
A man identified on Twitter as @numberonetweep with a substantial following of over 40 thousand users, expressed strong disapproval towards Oshoala’s actions.
In a tweet, the influencer voiced his discontent, stating that he found the act of removing her jersey to reveal her body in celebration inappropriate for a woman. He called on Asisat Oshoala to “fix up” and implied that such behaviour did not make sense.
He posted on twitter: “Removing your jersey and exposing your body just because you scored a goal doesn’t make sense at all as a woman.
Asisat Oshoala really need to fix up.”
