Fans Criticize Super Eagles Poor Display Against Zimbabwe

After the Super Eagles struggled to a 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, fans criticized the team’s performance, calling it a poor showing.
They were less dominant than in their previous match, and had a chance to score in the 15th minute, but Tella’s cross was cleared by the Zimbabweans.
Francis Uzoho’s continued selection in goal backfired when Walter Musona’s 35-yard free kick beat him in the 26th minute to give Zimbabwe the lead.
Zimbabwe’s goal gave them the confidence to contain the Super Eagles for the rest of the first half, limiting them to only two shots.
At halftime, Peseiro made three changes, bringing on Osayi-Samuel, Iheanacho, and Boniface in place of Aina, Onyeka, and Tella.
Despite the changes, the Super Eagles failed to return to winning ways.
