Singer Ayra Starr Apologies For Disrespecting King Sunny Ade [VIDEO]
Ayra Starr, a Nigerian singer, has issued a public apology to the legendary musician, King Sunny Ade, for her disrespectful behavior towards him at an event.
After Ayra Starr’s actions towards King Sunny Ade and Burna Boy’s mother received heavy criticism on social media, she took to the internet to explain herself and express remorse for the incident.
In a trending video, Ayra Starr had neglected to greet Burna Boy’s mother and instead greeted a woman sitting beside her.
However, she did greet King Sunny Ade by shaking his hand. In response to the backlash from online users, Ayra Starr posted a public apology on her official social media account on Saturday morning, providing an explanation for her actions.
“I’m so sorry, I had just walked in and all the lights and nerves did not let me see but I came back to greet everyone properly. I have never been that girl to be disrespectful, I’m a proper Yoruba girl and the video didn’t start until after I had greeted Burna’s mom! I’m very sorry to the legend, uncle and King Sunny Ade.”
