‘This Grammy No Sweet’ – Timaya Express Shock As Nigerian Artists Miss Out
Timaya, the popular singer also known as Inetimi Alfred Timaya Odon, has expressed disappointment over the underwhelming performance of Nigerian artists at the 66th Grammys.
According to reports, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Davido, Asake, and Olamide, who were all nominees, were overlooked at the awards ceremony.
Tyla, the sole non-Nigerian nominee in the inaugural Best African Music Performance category, ended up winning the award.
Additionally, both Davido and Burna Boy missed out on winning in the Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance categories.
Expressing his disappointment, Timaya wrote via his X handle: “This Grammys no sweet oo!”
