Eid-el-Fitr: Remain Hopeful In My Government—Tinubu Urges Nigerians
President Bola Tinubu stressed the importance of maintaining hope in his government’s ability to improve the lives of Nigerians in a message delivered during Eid prayers.
He highlighted that the support and belief of the people are crucial for the successful implementation of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
”The Renewed Hope Agenda is alive, well and fine, and Nigerians should continue to be very hopeful. Without hope, there is no salvation,” Tinubu told journalists after he joined the Muslim faithful to observe Eid-el-Fitr prayers at the Eid Ground at the Dodan Barracks in Lagos.
The president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, conveyed Tinubu’s message, urging citizens to uphold patriotism and defend the nation’s integrity.
Tinubu reiterated his commitment to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at fostering prosperity for all Nigerians.
He called on Muslims marking the end of Ramadan to continue embodying the values of sacrifice and resilience in their daily lives.
Additionally, Tinubu emphasized the significance of citizens demonstrating love for their country and encouraged them to prioritize this sentiment.
”The resilience and sacrifice that we have shown and made during these months should be preserved. Be a kind and cheerful giver.
“We must love our country more than any other country because that is the only one we have.
”We must continue to protect the integrity of our government and leadership…Without hope, there is no development. Without hope, there is no life. Eid Mubarak,’’ the President said at the end of the prayers led by the Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sheikh Sulaiman Abou-Nolla.
