BREAKING: Court Jails Popular Lagos Surgeon, Dr. Anuoluwapo Adepoju Over Plastic Surgery Failure 

The Federal High Court in Lagos, under the jurisdiction of Justice Muhammad Liman, issued a sentence on Friday to Dr. Anuoluwapo Adepoju, a medical doctor and founder of MedContour Services Limited, for a failed plastic surgery case.

Dr. Adepoju was charged by the Federal Competition and Consumers Protection Commission (FCCPC) on multiple counts related to non-compliance with the commission’s requirements during an investigation and obstruction of the investigation process.

The charges brought against Dr. Adepoju contravened specific sections of the FCCPC Act, 2018, and despite pleading not guilty initially and being granted bail, she chose not to present her defense after the prosecution concluded their case.

The court dismissed her no-case submission, stating that the evidence provided satisfied the elements of the charges.

Following this, Dr. Adepoju decided to testify as the sole witness in her case.

After being cross-examined, the court adjourned the proceedings for the adoption of written addresses.

Ultimately, on the judgment day, Justice Liman found Dr. Adepoju guilty of the offences and imposed a one-year jail term, with the alternative of a N100,000 fine.
