NiMet Predicts 3 Days Sunshine, Cloudiness Across The Country
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, popularly known as NiMet, has provided a detailed forecast for the upcoming days from Monday to Wednesday.
According to NiMet’s weather outlook released in Abuja, a mix of sunshine and cloudiness is anticipated across different regions of the nation.
The forecast includes various weather conditions such as sunny skies with patches of clouds over the northern region, isolated thunderstorms in specific areas like Taraba, Borno, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, and localised thunderstorms with rains expected in Taraba.
For the North Central region, cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine are expected with chances of isolated thunderstorms over certain parts of Benue state during the morning hours.
In the afternoon and evening, localized thunderstorms are likely in the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Plateau, Kwara, and Nasarawa states.
Moving to the southern states, cloudy skies are anticipated with the possibility of morning thunderstorms and rains in places like Abia, Ebonyi, Ondo, Delta, Lagos, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom states.
As the day progresses, thunderstorms and rains may occur in states like Imo, Abia, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Ebonyi, Enugu, Edo, Lagos, Bayelsa, Rivers, Delta, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom.
NiMet has also predicted isolated thunderstorms with rains in parts of Kaduna, Kebbi, Zamfara, Bauchi, Borno, Adamawa, and Taraba states later in the day.
For the North Central region, a similar pattern of cloudy weather with intervals of sunshine and isolated thunderstorms over specific areas like the Federal Capital Territory, Kogi, and Benue state during the morning hours is expected.
In the afternoon and evening, isolated thunderstorms with rains are forecasted over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi, and Plateau states.
Additionally, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms with rains in Delta, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom states during the morning hours.
Furthermore, the Agency has also predicted that there will be isolated thunderstorms with rains in several states including Enugu, Imo, Abia, Oyo, Anambra, Ebonyi, Edo, Osun, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Rivers later in the day.
In the northern region, a cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine is expected, with the chance of isolated thunderstorms and rains in Kaduna, Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa, and Taraba states during the morning hours.
Later in the day, there may be isolated thunderstorms with rains in Kano, Kebbi, Zamfara, Borno, Taraba, Adamawa, Sokoto, Jigawa, Katsina, and Kaduna.
Over the North Central region, cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine are forecasted, along with isolated thunderstorms and rains in Plateau state during the morning hours.
By the afternoon and evening, isolated thunderstorms with rains are likely in the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Kwara, and Nasarawa states.
In the South, NiMet anticipates a cloudy atmosphere, with isolated thunderstorms and rains expected in Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Lagos during the morning hours.
Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms with rains are forecasted for states like Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Edo, Enugu, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Lagos, Delta, Rivers, Cross River, Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom.
