JUST IN: Tapswap Postpones Token Allocation Indefinitely
A tap-to-earn application known as Tapswap, powered by the TON Blockchain, recently announced a delay in token allocation to users.
The purpose of the postponement is to allow representatives time to determine the most effective ways to reward participants in the tap-to-earn gaming community.
According to John Robbin, the Head of Communications at Tapswap, this information was shared during a presentation on Wednesday.
This app has gained significant popularity among Nigerians who engage in tapping their phone screens to generate financial rewards. Since its launch on February 15, 2024, Tapswap has acquired over 50 million users.
Despite the app’s growth, the specific method for token allocation remains undecided.
Robbin emphasized that the allocation process details cannot be disclosed until a decision is finalized.
“The token launch was postponed until July 1. The new date will be communicated.
“We will allocate a significant part of the tokens to the community to retain the tappers. We want you all to be part of the tapswap community.
“We need a token airdrop to be a win-win for all of us. We have started communicating with many exchanges and platforms,” Robbin said.
Furthermore, it was mentioned that individuals exploiting the tapping mechanism within the app to unfairly accumulate rewards will face consequences, as the community is vigilant in monitoring and preventing such behavior to ensure fairness among genuine participants.
Speaking on the mining processes, he said, “Just open the app and tap on it; that will give you shares. The more you tap and the more upgrades you do, the more shares you will have when we finalize the tokens on it.
“The more tokens you want to have, the more tapping you have to do.”
Regarding the concluded booster option, it was clarified that this feature was introduced as an unexpected measure due to the rapid growth of the app.
While the paid booster option was available to users to enhance their earnings, it was not mandatory.
Users were encouraged to explore the app and participate actively as opportunities to earn tokens are still available.
“We introduced the limited x2 donation because the new influx of users kept coming in, and we needed them to make something out of it and get a fair allocation at TGE.
“It was a platform that allowed people who joined recently to compete with people who started earlier. It is gone for now, but we are looking forward to using the money we earned from it to improve the game in the future.
“It is all going to our 25 staffers working around the clock to sustain the app. We want to be here for a very long time.”
In conclusion, Tapswap users are advised to remain patient while the token allocation process is being finalized, and new users are encouraged to join the platform to benefit from future opportunities for earning rewards.
