Money Sprayed At My Wedding Didn’t Match Amount We Took Home — Davido Laments
Grammy nominee and Nigerian music sensation, Davido (David Adeleke), has expressed disappointment that the amount of money he and his wife, Chioma, received at their wedding didn’t match the generous amount sprayed by guests during the ceremony, which took place in Lagos on June 25, 2024.
The lavish wedding was attended by dignitaries from around the world, who showered the couple with dollar bills due to Nigeria’s currency laws.
In a comment on a video posted by Tunde Ednut, a blogger and former musician, Davido revealed that the amount sprayed at the wedding exceeded the amount he and his wife ultimately took home.
He wrote, “The video of all the money wey dey spray (that was sprayed) and wetin we carry go house (what we took home) no dey tally.”
