Kogi Assembly Approves 2025 Appropriation Bill Of N582.4 Billion
The Kogi State House of Assembly has officially passed the 2025 Appropriation Bill, which amounts to N582,404,119,489.
This legislative decision follows the approval of the report from the House Standing Committee on Appropriation, Budget Monitoring, and Economic Planning.
During a detailed examination of the bill, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, indicated that the legislation authorizes a recurrent expenditure exceeding N281,153,215,687 billion Naira, while the capital expenditure has been set at over N301,280,903,802 billion Naira.
The Speaker highlighted that the bill outlines the distribution of funds allocated to various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, with the budget slated to commence on January 1, 2025, and conclude on December 31, 2025.
Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf expressed gratitude to the lawmakers for fulfilling their essential duty in reviewing and passing the budget.
Recall that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo had presented the 2025 appropriation bill for approval to the Assembly on December 3, 2024, amounting to N582,404,119.489 billion Naira.
