FULL LIST: Football Matches Cancelled In UK Over Bad Weather
Numerous football matches across the UK have been called off due to extreme weather conditions.
Amber weather warnings were issued following a night of snow and freezing rain in the North West region.
As a result, the runways at Manchester and Liverpool airports were shut down on Sunday morning.
The Met Office has cautioned about icy conditions in certain areas, raising concerns regarding pitch conditions and the safety of fans.
Chesterfield’s League Two matchup against Gillingham marked the first EFL match to be canceled on Sunday morning, followed by Fleetwood Town’s game against Wimbledon.
In contrast, the highly anticipated Premier League fixture between Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield is set to proceed as scheduled.
