The stage is set for a celebration of African cinematic brilliance as the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) organisers revealed the highly anticipated nominees for its 2025 edition. This year’s selection, encompassing a rich tapestry of film, television, and digital content, shines a spotlight on the outstanding works that graced screens between January 1 and December 31, 2024.

Leading the pack with multiple nominations are compelling productions such as “Lisabi: The Uprising,” “Skeleton Coast,” “House of Ga’a,” and “Freedom Way,” each vying for top honors in categories including Best Movie and Best Director.
