Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi has playfully cautioned Lionel Messi ahead of their upcoming clash in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 on Sunday.

Hakimi and Messi previously played together at PSG before the Argentine star made the move to Inter Miami.

The highly anticipated showdown between PSG and Inter Miami is set to take place this weekend.

In a chat with ItalPress, Hakimi remarked that Messi should remember there are no friendships once the game kicks off.

According to his statement via 101 Great Goals, the Moroccan international said, “It would be nice to meet Messi again. There were many beautiful moments.

“We will see who we play against but then, on the pitch, there are no friends.

“He will try to win and we will also try to win. We will give everything to try to pass to the next round.”
