Burna Boy Sets New African Record On Billboard Hot 100
Grammy-winning Nigerian star Burna Boy has set a new record as the African artist with the highest number of entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
His latest feature on American rapper Gunna’s track WGFT, from the rapper’s new album The Last Wun, debuted at number 96 on this week’s Hot 100, pushing Burna Boy’s total entries on the chart to seven.
The Last Last crooner also became the first African artist to debut on the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive years—2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Burna Boy first entered the chart in 2021 with Loved By You, a collaboration with Canadian pop star Justin Bieber. He made his solo debut the following year, reaching number 44 with Last Last.
Beyond the Billboard success, Burna Boy also holds the record for the most chart entries by an African artist on both the UK Singles Chart (26) and the Canadian Hot 100 (11).
