President Bola Tinubu on Thursday swore in Joash Amupitan as the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Amupitan, who appeared in a white agbada and a gold cap, succeeds former INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, whose tenure recently expired.
During his screening, Amupitan stated that his goal is to build an electoral system where losers willingly congratulate winners after elections.
