Another girl raped and gruesomely murdered in Oyo

Yet to recover from the shock of the 100 level student who was raped in Benin, another girl was allegedly raped by some armed men.
18-year-old Barakat Bello has been raped and murdered at her father’s home in Ibadan, Oyo state.
Onyxnews Nigeria gathered that the incident happened on Monday but the deceased’s body was found around their residence in Akinyele area of Ibadan on Tuesday.
Her family members heard the sad news that she had been raped after her body was examined.
Barakat has been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
This reliable online news platform also gathered that Barakat Bello was a 100 level student of the Institute of Agriculture, Research and Training, Ibadan.
Spokesperson of Oyo state police command, Fadeyi Olugbenga could not be reached when contacted. Calls placed to his telephone number were not responded to.
Barakat’s matter comes less than a week after the horrible news of Omozuwa, a student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), who was raped while reading inside a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Benin.
Meanwhile, many Nigerians have taken to social media, to demand for the arrest of those who carried out the evil act using the hashtag #JusticeForBarakat.
“While we were expressing shock and anger over the rape and murder of Uwa in Benin, this lady was raped and murdered in Ibadan last night. It is safe to say we have an epidemic on our hands. Ending is now a national emergency issue, worse than police brutality#justiceforbarakat,” a Twitter user posted.
