JUST IN: Governor Obaseki renames Oshiomhole’s street, see new name

The fight between the Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki and embattled Adams Oshiomhole has taken a new turn.
Governor Obaseki on Friday reportedly renamed Adams Oshiomhole’s Street in the state after former Senate President Bukola Saraki.
Onyxnews Nigeria understands that the street which was formerly known as Adams Oshiomhole Crescent was renamed after the former Kwara state governor who is termed by many as Oshiomhole’s worst political enemy.
This reliable online news platform reported earlier that Obaseki also officially joined the Nigeria’s main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today ahead of the governorship primary election.
The party’s governorship primary election is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 23 June 2020.
Obaseki had resignation recently from the nation’s ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC).
Onyxnews Nigeria understands that the Edo Governor was received by the leadership of the party led by the state Chairman of the PDP, Hon Tony Aziegbemi ahead of Edo 2020 election scheduled for September 2020.
